The Latest WearOS Watch From Mobvoi

The latest WearOS smartwatch from Mobvoi, the TicWatch Atlas, is all about rugged, and it comes in at the same $350 starting price as previous TicWatch Pro 5 models. The new watch brings plenty of upgrades and new features to distinguish it from the crowded smartwatch market.

Design & Display

The TicWatch Atlas has a sleek stainless steel body, and a 1.43-inch AMOLED display that’s both durable and high end looking. The Atlas is offered in silver and black finishes, and is designed to be tough, but also beautiful, minimalist.

New Software Features

Heat Map is one of the standout features of the TicWatch Atlas, it tracks where you worked out most often. This is an excellent way to see how you workout over time if you’re a fitness junkie.

It also features fall detection: a key safety feature that, if a fall is detected, automatically sends an SOS to 911 or the user’s emergency contact. This is a big win, as other TicWatch models lacked this, something every competitor now has, with the Google Pixel Watch and the Samsung Galaxy Watch series already offering this.

Enhanced Health Tracking

The Atlas goes to the next level of health monitoring. The Ultra low power display now shows heart rate, calories burned and Vo2 Max. This lets users stay in the know about their fitness before they’ve even fired up the workout, without wearing down your battery. The TicWatch is the only WearOS device with this feature, which makes it different from other WearOS devices, as it shows the prospect of a power saving alternative to the usual OLED display.

Battery Life

The one strong point of the TicWatch Atlas is battery performance. In Smart mode, which alternates between its lower power display and the full OLED screen, Mobvoi says the watch can get up to 90 hours on a single charge. The Atlas can also operate for 45 days in Essential mode, which predominantly uses the lower power display, and for those that require extended use without as often a charge.

WearOS 4 & Availability

At the same time, Google’s WearOS 4 is included on the TicWatch Atlas ship, which means there’s access to all the latest apps and updates. You can now purchase the watch beginning at $350.
